We all see cars around us every day but most percentage of us don’t know much about it. The English word car is believed to originate from Latin Carrus/carrum which means: "wheeled vehicle". The first development of automobile was begun in 1672. There are dozens of different reasons behind the invention of cars. The main sources of these reasons are facilitating the transportation of people, enabling them to reach another place more easily. In addition to transportation, the car has become a frequently used product in the military sense. The invention of the first steam powered vehicle capable of human transportations which was built by Nicolas Joseph in 1769. The de Raivas enging is one of the first combustion engines made in 1826. But the first production car was appeared in 1886. Carl Benz (founder of Mercedes-Benz) developed a gasoline powered engine and several copy of them to start the production.

 

 

 

Henry Ford who was the founder of Ford Motor Company started a production line in 1908 with their own first automobile Ford Model T. Ford Model T made a great success and encourage others to create their own automobile industry and their very own cars. In sequence Mercedes-Benz, Peugeot, Ford, Renault, Fiat, Opel, Buick was found before 19^th century.

 

 

20th century was the century for car industries. Every car company was making. 1920s were the golden age of car design. Car companies were making various designs which were more practical, attractive and reliable. After one century cars became widely available. The top biggest and top selling car company Toyota was found in 1937 by Sakichi Toyoda. In 1986 Toyota became the first import automaker to sell more than 1 million vehicles in America in a single year and the top seller among the world.

 

 

In 21th century automobile companies started making modern cars. They started added luxury with more speed and many available features like cruise control, parking assist, lane keeping assist, automatic breaking, blind spot monitoring, heated & cooled seats, anti-collusion alert and much more including all advanced safety system.

 

 

Making cars more powerful and fun to drive was causing more accident and death to the people. To get rid of it in 1988 the biggest companies from Japan made an agreement called “The Gentleman’s Agreement”. In this agreement they decided no car that they produce would ever have higher than 280hp and they were limited to 180kmph. Unfortunately in 2005 The Gentleman’s Agreement was broken. Now companies make above 1000 of horsepower car like Koenigsegg Regera, which have 1,479hp with a top speed of 230+kmph. Companies also make cars over 180+kmph like Hennessey Venom GT with a top speed of 270.49mph (435.3kmph).

 

There was a time when people bought a car for their practical uses but now a day car has become a collective item for some car enthusiast among the world. They like to collecting vintage cars, classic cars and some of them like to modify or tune them without any practical reasons. Somkey Nagata is the revolutionary car modifier in the world. From 1886 to till now car is developing. From the three wheels car it has now become the modern car. In these revolutions we get many fun to drive, reliable, advanced, safest cars. Now Electric Car is going to be the future and some companies assuming that in very recent future we don’t have to drive a car else it will drive it self automatically, we only have to give command and enjoy our ride.
